The Friendship of Pockets and Snowy

Pockets was known by everyone in the village because he always carried useful things in his pockets. Whenever he went outside, he carried some biscuits, a little bottle of water, a bandage, and a few small toys.

His friends often asked, “Pockets, why do you carry so many things with you?”

Pockets smiled and replied, “Because we never know when someone might need a little help.”

One morning, Pockets decided to explore the forest near his village. He loved discovering new plants, watching birds, and learning about animals.

As he walked between the tall trees, he suddenly heard a soft sound.

“Whimper… whimper…”

Pockets followed the sound and found a small brown dog hiding near a fallen tree. The dog looked weak and frightened. His paw was hurt, and he could barely walk.

“Oh, poor little friend. What happened to you?” Pockets asked gently.

The dog looked at Pockets carefully. At first, he was afraid, but Pockets sat down slowly and smiled.

“Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you. I want to help.”

Pockets took out his water bottle and gave the dog some water. Then he used a small piece of cloth from his pocket to clean the dog’s injured paw and wrapped it carefully with a bandage.

Finally, he gave the dog one of his biscuits.

The dog slowly ate the biscuit and wagged his tail. For the first time that day, he felt safe.

“You are a brave dog,” Pockets said. “I think you need a name. How about Snowy?”

The dog barked happily, as if he liked his new name.

From that day, Snowy stayed with Pockets.

Every day, they went on adventures together. They explored forests, played in fields, and helped other animals they found along the way.

Snowy became more than just a pet. He became Pockets’ closest friend.

Whenever Pockets walked through the village, Snowy walked beside him. Whenever Pockets rested under a tree, Snowy sat beside him. They understood each other without saying a word.
